Puntuale come il mal di pancia dopo una gustosa abbuffata è arrivata la protesta della PETA verso Assassin’s Creed IV Black Flag. Nel nuovo gioco UbiSoft è possibile dare la caccia alle balene e questa cosa, inutile dirlo, non è proprio andata giu alla nota associazione animalista, che subito si è scagliata contro Assassin’s Creed 4.
La PETA ribadisce che le balene sono una specie a rischio di estinzione ed un gioco che incita alla loro cattura va sicuramente contro molti principi morali. L’associazione invita i produttori a creare giochi a tutela degli animali e per farlo ha pubblicato il seguente messaggio:
Whaling—that is, shooting whales with harpoons and leaving them to struggle for an hour or more before they die or are hacked apart while they are still alive—may seem like something out of the history books, but this bloody industry still goes on today in the face of international condemnation, and it’s disgraceful for any game to glorify it. PETA encourages video game companies to create games that celebrate animals—not games that promote hurting and killing them.
Adesso aspettiamo la risposta di UbiSoft che, ne siamo certi, non si farà attendere troppo.
