Nessuna sorpresa nella consueta classifica di vendite sul territorio giapponese redatta da Media-Create relativa alla scorsa settimana. Continua a dominare infatti il Nintendo 3DS, che sulla scia dei clamorosi numeri della scorsa settimana, merito del lancio di Super Mario 3D Land, si mantiene su cifre superiori alle 100.000 unità, spazzando di netto tutte le concorrenti.
A parte il 3DS, che è il primo rappresentante della prossima generazione (il quale verrà presto accompagnato dalla PlayStation Vita), il resto delle console mantiene numeri uguali a qualche settimana fa, nonostante ci si avvicini alle festività natalizie, segno che il mercato stia cominciando, o si sia già saturato per i sistemi della generazione attuale.
Per quanto riguarda il software, non ha funzionato benissimo l’operazione commerciale di Konami atta a riproporre Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker su PlayStation 3. Il porting si è infatti classificato soltanto al settimo posto con poco meno di 40.000 copie vendute. Al contrario, sono partite bene altre tre novità che occupano le prime posizioni della classifica: sono Hatsune Miku: Project Diva Extend per PSP (quasi 185.000 copie), Sengoku Basara 3: Utage per PlayStation 3 (quasi 125.000 copie) e Ore no Shikabane o Koete Yuke per PSP (poco più di 94.000 copie).
