Il 2011 giapponese si chiude senza sorprese: il Nintendo 3DS resta nettamente la console più venduta nel paese del sol Levante con quasi 200,000 unità piazzate solo nella settimana post-natalizia. È il responso fornito dai dati Media Create distribuiti questa mattina.
Il neonato rivale, PlayStation Vita, continua a soffrire e nonostante il taglio prezzi non ufficiale per il modello 3G, scende ancora in classifica con poco più di 42.000 console vendute. Il calo è comunque meno netto rispetto quello registrato la scorsa settimana.
Nel mezzo, resistono bene le due sorelle Sony: PlayStation 3 e PSP, in seconda e terza posizione. Il Wii crolla di netto a poco più di 30.000 unità vendute.
Per quanto riguarda il software, Mario Kart 7 si conferma in splendida forma ancora al primo posto, seguito da Monster Hunter Tri G e Warriors Orochi 2. Non ci sono dunque grandi novità questa settimana, se si fa eccezione per la quattordicesima posizione occupata dalla versione PlayStation 3 di The Idolmaster 2. Il primo titolo per PlayStation Vita è addirittura ventottesimo, Hot Shots Golf, seguito da Uncharted: Golden Abyss.
